Choral Concert

On Saturday 11th June Joska, a choir from Rovigo in Italy will be giving a performance in St. Peter’s.
this is a young choir who will be singing light Italian classical songs. They will be joined by the Concord Singers for an arrangement of a Lennon and McCartney number and the Concord Singers will perform on their own during the second half of the concert.

The concert begins at 7.30pm and will be over by 9pm. There is no charge for admission, but donations towards the interval refreshments would be welcome

North Bedfordshire Youth Chamber Orchestra

This orchestra gave its inaugural concert in St. Peter’s and has been visiting us regularly ever since, usually at the end of each academic term throughout the year. With the future of County Music uncertain, I wonder if this may be their final visit. The summer concert, understandably, has the potential to be the best of the year as the students have played together and grown in confidence since last September.

Their programme will be:

Mendelssohn - Hebrides Overture,
Berlioz - Nuits D'Ete (with the
wonderful local hero/ superstar
Rachel Nicholls as soloist) and
Beethoven - Symphony no 4.

The concert is at 7.30pm on Friday June 24th and admission is usually£5.00 and £2.00 or £3.00 for
concessions. Interval refreshments are served for which a donation is welcome.
